KANSAS CITY — New sauces, dressings and seasonings are landing on shelves ahead of summer.
Foodservice chain Chick-fil-A is expanding its retail line with new 12-oz salad dressings, a bottled version of its popular menu varieties. Chick-fil-A’s bottled salad dressings are available in four flavors: avocado lime ranch, garden herb, creamy salsa and zesty apple cider vinaigrette.
“From Boston to Sacramento, customers who heard about our pilot let us know they are eager to buy bottles of their favorite Chick-fil-A salad dressing at their local grocery stores,” said Michael Garrison, senior director of innovation and new ventures at Chick-fil-A. “These salad dressings will join four of the brand's most popular sauces available in participating grocery stores: bottled barbecue, Polynesian, sweet and spicy sriracha and Chick-fil-A Sauce.”
Southern brand Duke’s is introducing a line of seafood sauces inspired by flavors “connected to southern bodies of water,” in time for summer. The four sauces include bayou remoulade, creamy Chesapeake cocktail, Gulf Coast lemon garlic aioli and tidewater tartar.
“We are thrilled to add seafood sauces to our growing line of Duke's Southern Sauces,” said Joe Tuza, president of condiments at Sauer Brands, Inc. “Like our barbecue sauces, each seafood sauce is inspired by the brand's bold and southern flavors. Shoppers won't find anything like them on the market.”
McCormick & Co.’s Cholula brand is expanding its sauce line into two new categories for the first time with the introduction of taco seasonings and jarred salsa. The salsa line will feature an original salsa and a salsa verde, while the taco seasonings will be available in original, smoky chipotle and chili garlic.
